RSD vs. East Palmyra (Wednesday, Mar 26)
Record: 0 - 2

If you weren’t at the game on Monday, then you missed the match of the year! What an amazing team! The Wildcats played together, were positive through the great plays and more importantly through the not-as-great plays, and had a blast together! The Wildcats won the first match, lost the next 2 and won the 4th, putting us into the 5th game, a rarity. The fans were on the edge of their seats, a few fingernails were probably lost, (Coach Lipitz was as unflappable as ever of course) and the men went all the way to the very last point…the score wasn’t for us in the end, but I for one wouldn’t have changed a thing about the match, it was that good!

PLAY OF THE DAY: The entire match! Yup, the entire match was the play of the day. There were 6, yes count them, SIX bump-set-spikes made by the team! Alosha Cerney made the season’s first stuff!! (That’s when you block a spike made by the opposing team, sending it to the floor on their side.) Cooper Norris made some clutch serves during the match, getting a serve in and scoring a point when we most needed it. And EVERY SINGLE player on the team made a hit during the match that resulted in an immediate point!

RSD vs. Rochester Christian Academy (Wednesday, Mar 26)
Record: 0 - 1

What a great match! The Wildcats came onto the court with very little practice time together but stout hearts and the goal of having a lot of fun. The first game of the match was a tough one and was full of some great learning opportunities for receiving the ball, rotating, and their roles on the court. The Wildcats earned 12 points this game. Game 2 saw the team come alive with their serving and passing. Maybe it was the threat of consequences in tomorrow's practice for not being ready for the ball or for letting the ball touch the floor without valiant efforts to save it, but the team looked good, supported each other through the good and the bad. Then game 3 started. Game 3 was awesome! Another bump-set-spike, this one by Kenneth, Alosha, and Cooper! (This one earning them a reward in practice tomorrow) and the Wildcats won their first game. Game 4 was a nailbiter with the 2 teams determined to win. RSD hung on to the very last point, forcing Rochester Christian to go beyond the 25th point to take the match. What a day! What fun!

PLAY OF THE DAY: The first of TWO bump-set-spikes during game 3 of the match. An awesome pass from
